Answer

We have successfully used a wide range of external Wi-Fi routers from different manufactures including Apple, Cisco, Linksys, and Netgear.   Unfortunately,  QSC is unable to supply specific  models due to the wide range of options and the speed at which manufactures will add or replace router models.  So with that said, here are the common network specs used TouchMix.

The TouchMix-8 and TouchMix-16 USB Wi-Fi adapter supports 802.11n, WPA and WPA2 security, and 2.4GHZ or 5.0GHZ connections.  The TouchMix-30 wired network port is a 10/100 connection so any Wi-Fi router that offers support for these standards should be fine.

Most problems reported to QSC are the result of non-standard and/or custom configurations on the routers. Keeping the router as close to default as possible will yield the most successful results.  When using a wired connection from the mixer to the router, make sure the wired connections are plugged in to the LAN (Local Area Network) port on the router and not the WAN (Wide Area Network) port.
