FAQ | Does the TouchMix series use log taper or linear taper pots?
Learn about whether TouchMix series pots use log or linear taper control.
Answer
The answer depends on the model:
- The TouchMix-16 uses log taper pots.
- The newer TouchMix-8 and TouchMix-30 Pro use linear taper pots. This decision was based on listening to TouchMix-16 customer feedback.
For the TouchMix-16, this just means you need to turn up the gain pot slightly more compared to the other models. Use the Gain Wizard to help with this.
Note
To avoid inconsistency within the same model line, the TouchMix-16 continues to be manufactured with log taper pots. Future TouchMix models are planned to use linear taper pots.
