Answer

Refer to the KW181 and KS118 user manuals for pole-mounting instructions and limitations. The following are answers to questions we have received in the past. In all cases, you must consider the stability of the base, pole mount socket, and top box.

• It is unsafe to mount a 200 lb non-QSC loudspeaker to the 36" pole.
• QSC does not recommend using the 36" pole on the KS118 to support the KW153 or two KLA12 speakers (with 9 degree tilt). Though the thread sockets are the same, the KS118's mounting socket is not in the cabinet's center of gravity.
• The 36" pole included with the KW181 is capable of supporting the KW153 (about 88 lbs) but cannot be used on top of the KS118 to support the KW153.
• The 36" pole included with the KW181 is capable of supporting two KLA12 speakers (about 110 lbs combined weight) if it is mounted on the KLA181 and both KLA12 tilt direct angles are adjusted to 0 degrees.
