The parametric EQ is a mainstay of recording and live sound because it offers continuous control over the audio signal’s frequency content.

The parametric EQ on an input channel of a TouchMix has 4 parametric filters. When selecting a filter, the gain control for that filter is automatically highlighted. When selected, you can use the toggle wheel to adjust that filter gain value up or down.

The control under the gain knob is the center frequency knob. The primary selected frequency is referred to as the EQ center point. When selected you can use the toggle wheel to sweep the center frequency across the spectrum.

Underneath the frequency knob is the filter Q Factor. When selected you can use the toggle wheel to adjust the width of the filter.  The broader the Q, the more frequencies will be affected by the adjustment. This control is what makes an EQ parametric.

You can turn a filter off or on by selecting the number of that filter below the EQ graph.
